Your Associated Ministries provides vital services to Pierce County, to the Puget Sound, to the places where you live and work. Associated Ministries and its predecessor organizations have been changing the lives of youth, families and individuals since the late 1800s. For more than 35 years, Associated Ministries has been a unifying force in the community, bringing people together to resolve critical issues, providing forums for dialogue, and building bridges of hope for a more humane, just, and compassionate society. Today, Associated Ministries directly serves more than 17,000 Pierce County residents providing opportunities that change and improve lives. Our indirect influence touches the lives of one in five residents. That’s more than 160,000 people who receive housing, meals, and other direct services as a result of our funding or partnerships. Your gift will help expand services to homeless individuals and families seeking resources. Your gift will increase programs that address the root causes of poverty. Your gift advances the mission of Associated Ministries by enabling us to educate and advocate for the underrepresented. Your help is critical to Associated Ministries. Costs of providing services rise each year, and each year we must raise more money. Revenue from grants, corporations, and events covers only a fraction of our operating costs. Your gift is essential to the work we do. Your generous support is necessary to reach our objectives for the future. Please, give generously. |

How is my gift spent? The goal of Associated Ministries is to maximize the value delivered to our clients and services. By reducing administrative expenses wherever possible and optimizing organizational efficiencies, Associated Ministries directs 0.88 cents of every dollar toward direct services and activities. The other 0.12 cents pays for staff who provide services and our day-to-day operations. Many donors make gifts for discretionary (i.e, unrestricted) use, thus enabling the executive director and the board of directors to invest in programs and priorities of strategic importance to Associated Ministries’ future. Other gifts are made to support specific programs; while other gifts are used to establish permanent endowed funds. In the case of endowments, the gift is permanently invested, and the investment earnings are used to support the purpose of the gift in perpetuity. Each gift received by Associated Ministries regardless of the purpose or amount is carefully processed to ensure that the donor’s wishes are honored and that the organization receives the maximum benefit. Associated Ministries takes very seriously its role as steward of these critically important gift funds. Learn more about our financials. (link to financials in annual report) |
