Intake for shelter and housing in

Pierce County

Pierce County, together with Associated Ministries, has implemented a new centralized intake and referral system for families or individuals at risk of, or experiencing homelessness effective Jan. 31, 2011. It’s called Access Point 4 Housing, and offers a single, trusted access point to which people can be referred for assessment, case management, emergency shelter or transitional housing.

All households in need of homelessness prevention services, rapid rehousing, housing or shelter services, are processed through this centralized intake and matched with the local organization best suited to the household’s needs. Plus, Access Point 4 Housing also offers homelessness prevention services, such as rent, utility and other assistance.
