Instructors Needed for Tacoma Goodwill’s Financial Literacy Program

Tacoma Goodwill has recently partnered with Key Foundation to offer free Financial Literacy classes, with a focus on helping low-income Pierce County residents become financially self-sufficient. The support and enthusiasm for this program has been overwhelming, and demand has grown quickly.

Due to high demand, the Financial Literacy program in now interviewing for instructor positions. Dynamic instructors are at the heart of our program, and we have been very fortunate to have an extremely high caliber of staff who have a passion for the course and the students they teach.

Many of our instructors have a profession background in Finance, but this is certainly not necessary. Our staff is chosen primarily for their dynamic personalities and their ability to engage students. Experience in public speaking, adult learning, volunteering, and/or teaching is preferred.

Most of all, approachability and enthusiasm for the work is what draws our students in and gains their trust- this is everything! We offer our instructors extremely flexible schedule options as well as incentives as a token of our appreciation for their support.

Tacoma Goodwill is now collaborating with city and state agencies, as well as local non-profit organizations, to bring this program directly to the community members who need the information the most and are motivated to use it.
