Faith Partners Against Family Violence

Faith Partners Against Family Violence (FPAFV) offers domestic violence awareness and response training to faith-based communities around Pierce County. Partners include the Pierce County Commission Against Domestic Violence, the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department and local pastors with domestic violence training. Our trainings are held multiple times throughout the year at Associated Ministries’ facilities and in several counties within the State of Washington. community based advocates with locating faith-related support for victims.Domestic Violence Quiz button

FPAFV grew out of and is comprised of an ecumenical coalition of clergy, lay leaders, parish nurses, domestic violence advocates, and public health professionals dedicated to providing compassionate services to individuals suffering from family violence.  Our program was formed in 2004 because we have seen the need for quality training to the religious community in the area of domestic violence.

Our mission is assist faith communities in developing and implementing appropriate responses to family violence. to motivate faith communities to take action and speak out against family violence.  We truly believe in providing domestic violence training to support the goal of building a safer community for all.
