Associated Ministries Partners with PC-CoSA

In our efforts to develop stronger communities, Associated Ministries is keenly aware of the need to ensure a high level of safety for all of the people living in the community; those who have lived in the neighborhood or community all of their lives, and those who are just moving in. Supporting Pierce County Circles of Support and Accountability (PC-CoSA) as Associated Ministries' newest initiative is the religious community's way of living into the Biblical injunction to "love the stranger, for you were once a stranger in the land of Egypt." (Deut 19.10). Find Out More

Energy Assistance Program for Tough Times

Eligibility income guidelines for the program are as follows (see chart)

Clergy, friends, and neighbors we need your help to get the word out to those who need help with their energy bill. This new energy program serves individuals and families that may not be eligible under any other assistance program. Many eligible recipients struggle to pay their bills even though one or two parents work. Many individuals who qualify have never asked for assistance and don’t know where to turn for help. We need your help to get the word out!

The grant is available to individuals and families who are current TPU clients and who fall within the specified income guidelines. Grants can be used to cover electrical charges, reconnect charges and late fees (grants may not be used to cover meter tampering charges or deposits). For more information about the Tacoma Power Aid Grant, income requirements, or to apply for the grant, please contact us at: (253) 651-5065. Individuals are limited to assistance once in a twelve month period. Payments will be $150 per household.
